10 people you should follow on Instagram for your African travel inspiration.

I am currently back in good, old Germany. Snow is falling outside my window which makes me feel a bit like Karen Blixen after she had to return to Denmark post her African adventure. And although, unlike her, I get to be back in just a few weeks, my heart aches for those early mornings, golden sunsets and incredible scenery. Here come ten instagramers I follow to cure my fever…

1. Shannon Wild

I want to be like Shannon when I grow up. Aussie-photographer based in South Africa with her own tv-show and a beautiful spirit.

2. Russell Maclaughlin

If there is one photographer out there who magically manages to capture exactly how I feel about Africa, it would be Russell Maclaughlin. Every picture he takes has a soul.

3. Adrian Steirn

Every animal an icon. They almost look like lager-than-life statues when Adrian Steirn takes the picture.

4. David Lloyd

David Lloyds photographs are just as wild as the animals he portrays.

5. High Tea With Elephants

A Safari-inspired travel magazine…

6. Rachel Lang aka Bushboundgirl

Make sure to check out Rachels blog as well. Seeing the African wild through her eyes is such a joy!

7. Marlon du Toit

Marlon du Toit is not only an excellent photographer, but also a safari guide. I love his honest work…

8. Lee Litumbe aka Spirited Pursuit

Less wildlife, more lifestyle photography from an absolutely stunning woman.

9. Africanmandreaming

Conrad Cramer aka Africanmandreaming is a free spirit and, no question, an absolute elephant-lover. Lots of ele-videos as well!

10. James Suter

James Suter is a private Photographic Guide with a passion for the African bush. He is also the Co-owner @blackbeanproductions – a film production company that produces inspiring short films.
